Who runs Ski Club
Two parents, a spreadsheet, and a charter bus.
Ski Club was started by St. Bart's parents who wanted their children to learn to ski without it becoming an expensive, complicated, all-weekend production. A bus, a group rate, an hour of instruction, and friends to do it with.
It is not a company and not a school program. There is no staff, no office, and no budget beyond what families pay in. Everything — the roster, the bus contract, the resort paperwork, the weekly lesson-group changes, the emails at eleven at night — is done by volunteers around their own jobs and their own children.
We say this partly so you know who you are dealing with, and partly so the ask to chaperone makes sense. There is no one else to do it.

Where the money goes
Not-for-profit, in plain terms.
Nobody is paid. Nobody takes a commission. There is no markup on anything.
- What you pay Ski Club covers the charter bus, pizza on the way up, and snacks for the ride home. That is the entire list.
- What you pay Whitetail goes to the resort directly, at a group rate below walk-up pricing.
- If money is left over at the end of the season, it goes back to families or into the following year.
- Chaperones are volunteers. They are not reimbursed and they are not paid.
Ski Club is independent. It is not sponsored, operated, or administered by St. Bartholomew School. School facilities may help with logistics such as early dismissal, but the program itself is organized entirely by parents. All participants come from the St. Bart's community.
